The 1996 GT Speed Series features the same frameset as the top-of-the-line Speed Series Team. The 6061 aluminum tubes are cut, bent, and welded in the U.S.A. Next the bike is built by hand with a GT alloy AHead stem, micro adjust seat post, AA Pro tires, and cantilever brakes. Whatever your BMX needs are, this machine will definitely make you faster. GT BMX serial numbers.
There are a number of possible serial sequences depending on where the frame was made.

Made in the USA The first two characters is the month 01 to 12 = January to December. After the month is year of production. 95 = 1995, 96 = 1996. Speedduction from around October 1995 through to September 1996. Most frames also had a model abreviation stamped next to the serial.

All factories had lengthy production lead times before they were delivered and sold in bike shops around the world. Depending on where the frames were made, this may have been around 3-6 months.
