Founded in 1923 by Charles Benoît and Abel Bardin in Pantin, France, Motobécane entered the BMX arena during the 1980s boom. They manufactured distinct, high-quality BMX models like the MX series for roughly ten years before the company was restructured as MBK following a Yamaha buyout.
