Founded in 1978 by Tom Daniel and Lee Van Ormer in Wayne, New Jersey, Thruster was a racing innovator under Speed Unlimited. They manufactured elite frames like the Tri-Power for roughly ten years before closing in 1988, eventually being reborn as a modern big-wheel and retro-style brand.
