Introduced in 1980 by Skip Hess and BMX Products Inc. in California, Blue Max began as a private label for Mongoose. Sold primarily through military exchanges (PX) for approximately six years, these bikes featured iconic iron-cross gussets and durable frames that mirrored Mongoose's legendary racing geometry.
