Founded in 1976 by the Raleigh Cycle Company of America in Ohio, Rampar was created to capture the growing BMX market. They manufactured a variety of steel-framed bikes, like the R-11, for approximately seven years before the line was absorbed back into the main Raleigh brand in 1983.
