Founded in 1993 by Jeff Steber in Temecula, California, Intense Cycles expanded into BMX in the early 2000s under license to Toby Henderson. They manufactured elite, high-performance racing frames for roughly fifteen years, dominating tracks with their aluminum Sabot and Podium models before focusing exclusively on mountain bikes.
