The 1999 Diamond Back Viper BMX features a chromoly main frame with oversized tubing and double-thick dropouts, available in XL and regular sizes, paired with a hi-ten fork using 1-1/4” blades and a chrome threadless finish. It comes fitted with handlebars offering an 8” rise in chrome, held by an alloy A-head stem (1-1/8”). Braking combines a Pro-Max alloy linear-pull rear brake with Bull Dog front caliper, both operated by matching levers. The drivetrain uses a 175mm chromoly crank with a quick-change 44-tooth chainwheel in chrome, matched to alloy platform pedals. The wheelset consists of alloy 20x1.75” 36-hole rims with alloy hubs, wrapped in Comp III-style tyres (20x2.125” front, 20x1.75” rear). Comfort comes via a padded seat with alloy seatpost. Reg frame in chrome or black.

As a general rule, bikes made in Taiwan had around a 8 month production lead timeline before they were delivered and sold in bike shops around the world. Generally around May of each year, factories would switch production to making models for the following year.
