The 1985 Mongoose M-1 Mini.

The 1985 M-1 Mini is the perfect choice for the younger rider that needs the performance advantages of a full size 20" wheel and the safety and control of a smaller frame. The scaled down M-1M Mini frame features a lower and shorter profile matched with a junior sized handlebar sized for bantam riders. The M-1T™ Mini also features the same dependable dual braking system as the full size M-1TM, a traditional pedal operated coaster brake and a responsive rear hand brake. The M-1TM Mini is available in chrome with black accessories.

Mongoose BMX serial numbers.
The serial number is found under the bottom bracket. The first character is the factory code M = Merida.

Second character is year of production. 4 = 1984, 5 = 1985. Production would have most likely started around May 1984 through to Aplril 1985.

Third character is month of production. A = January, B = Febuary, C = March, D = April, E = May, F = June, G = July, H= August, I = September, J = October, K = November, L = December

Made in Taiwan.
As a general rule, bikes made in Taiwan had around a 8 month production lead timeline before they were delivered and sold in bike shops around the world. Generally around May of each year, factories would switch production to making models for the following year.
