Mongoose PVC soft grips, Dia Compe Bulldog front and rear brakes with mongoose alloy levers, Mongoose 48 hole alloy rims with Formula alloy hubs and Mongoose DMC skinwall freestyle tyres. Mongoose 1-piece 170mm crank set, with 43 tooth chain wheel, Mongoose composite pedals, 26.0mm seat post, Mongoose freestyle seat and 3 bolt seat clamp.

Mongoose mid school serial numbers.
The most common serial number format contains four characters at the beginning. The first two characters (letters) are the factory code. The third character (letter) indicates year of production. Fourth characters (letter) indicates month of production. The remaining numbers are the individual frame numbers and not part of the date sequence.

As a general rule, bikes made in Taiwan had around an 8 month production lead timeline before they were delivered and sold in bike shops around the world. Generally around May of each year, factories would usually switch production to making models for the following year.
