The 1998 Diamond Back Venom XX BMX features a full chromoly freestyle frame with oversized tubing, double-thick dropouts, and reinforced bottom bracket and head tube, paired with a matching full chromoly fork using a 1-1/8” threadless steerer, 1-1/4” blades, double-thick dropouts, a 4mm crown insert, and integrated peg mounts. It comes fitted with oversized 8-piece chromoly handlebars offering an 8” rise in chrome, held by a forged alloy A-head stem. Braking is handled front and rear by Dia-Compe 990 U-brakes with Dia-Compe Tech II levers, while the drivetrain uses a DB two-piece chromoly 175mm crank paired with a DB alloy 44-tooth chainwheel in chrome, matched to DB alloy platform pedals with chromoly 9/16” axles. The wheelset consists of Alex alloy double-wall 48-hole rims, DB Slasher high-flange alloy hubs, and 146 stainless spokes, wrapped in DB freestyle 20x1.95” tyres front and rear. Comfort comes via a DB padded freestyle seat with a chromoly micro-adjust seatpost (25.4mm), while extras include an SST Ory 1-1/8” rotor and stainless steel oversized threadless pegs. The bike was finished in full chrome.
