The 1998 Diamond Back Venom X BMX features a full chromoly freestyle frame with oversized tubing, double-thick dropouts, and reinforced bottom bracket and head tube, paired with a matching full chromoly fork using 1-1/4” blades and reinforced dropouts. It comes fitted with DB 4-piece chromoly handlebars offering an 8” rise in chrome, held by a DB alloy stem with chromoly shaft. Braking is handled by a Dia-Compe 990 U-brake at the rear with a Dia-Compe Bull Dog front brake, both operated by Dia-Compe MX-99 alloy levers. The drivetrain uses a DB one-piece chromoly 175mm crank in chrome with a DB 44-tooth alloy chainwheel, also in chrome, matched to DB alloy platform pedals with chromoly 1/2” axles. The wheelset consists of Alex alloy double-wall 48-hole rims, high-flange alloy hubs, and 14-gauge stainless spokes, wrapped in DB freestyle 20x1.95” tyres. Comfort comes via a DB padded freestyle seat with a chromoly micro-adjust seatpost (25.4mm), while extras include an SST Ory 1” rotor and front and rear threadless pegs. The bike was finished in full chrome.
