1998-diamond-back-reactor-team-bmx-catalogue

The 1998 Diamond Back Reactor Team BMX features a lightweight 7005 aluminium frame with oversized tubing, a double-butted down tube, double-thick dropouts, and gussets at the head tube and chainstays for added strength, paired with a full chromoly fork using a 1-1/8” threadless steerer and 1-1/4” blades. It comes fitted with 4-piece chromoly handlebars offering an 8-1/2” rise in chrome, held by a forged alloy A-head stem. Braking is handled by Shimano DX V-brakes with matching lever, while the drivetrain uses a DB three-piece chromoly 180mm crank with a precision sealed-bearing bottom bracket and a DB alloy 44-tooth chainwheel in chrome, matched to DB alloy platform pedals with chromoly 9/16” axles and replaceable screw-type pins. The wheelset consists of Alex alloy double-wall 36-hole rims, DB Slasher alloy hubs, and stainless spokes, wrapped in Tioga Comp III tyres (20x2.125” front, 20x1.75” rear). Comfort comes via a DB padded seat with chromoly 8mm rails and an alloy micro-adjust seatpost (27.0mm). The bike was finished in ball-burnished with a chrome fork.
