The 1998 Diamond Back Reactor 24 BMX features a lightweight 7005 aluminium frame with oversized tubing, a double-butted down tube, double-thick dropouts, and a gusseted head tube for added strength, paired with a full chromoly fork using a 1-1/8” threadless steerer and 1-1/4” blades. It comes fitted with DB chromoly cruiser handlebars offering a 6” rise, held by a forged alloy A-head stem (1-1/8” threadless). Braking is handled by a Dia-Compe 757 linear-pull brake with Dia-Tech MX-1 lever, while the drivetrain uses a DB two-piece chromoly 180mm crank in chrome with a DB alloy 41-tooth chainwheel, also in chrome, matched to DB alloy platform pedals with chromoly 9/16” axles. The wheelset consists of Alex alloy double-wall 24x1.75” 36-hole rims, DB Slasher alloy hubs, and 14-gauge stainless spokes, wrapped in Toga Comp III 24x1.75” tyres. Comfort comes via a DB padded seat with 8mm rails and an alloy micro-adjust seatpost (27.0mm). The bike was finished in ball-burnished with a chrome fork.
